Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical value of the CLINY Silicone ED Tube with Stylet in treatment of the early postoperative inflammatory small bowel obstruction in children. Methods From June 2007 to October 2010,25 patients with early postoperative inflammatory small bowel obstruction were treated with the CLINY Silicone ED tube with Stylet(experimental group,n=12) and with nasogastric tube(control group,n=15),respectively.The gastrointestinal decompression amounts in the first five days after intubation, recovery time of exhaust/defecation,days of intubation, abdominal X-ray film were retrospectively analyzed and compared. Results The gastrointestinal decompression amounts in experimental group was significant higher than that in control group. The recovery time of exhaust/defecation in experimental group was shorter than in control group [(4.6±3.2)d vs(7.8±4.3)d,P0.01].The days of intubation in experimental group was shorter than in control group [(5.81±1.17)d vs(9.43±2.56)d,P0.01]. Conclusion The ED tube can more effectively drain the digestive juice, relieve the intestinal dilatation and promote the intestinal peristalsis, and it is effective for the early postoperative inflammatory small bowel obstruction.
