Abstract
The curing,living or death of the West Jin Dynasty was related to emperor Wu's setting up heir and the struggle because of it.In this course,princes You's struggling for the heir is a particularly related problem.Before emperor Wu in power,his succeeding to the throne had been threatened by his younger brother You.So after he became emperor, he set up his son Zhong as his heir to broke off You's hope of becoming the emperor. But Zhong was mentally handicapped,emperor Wu set up Hui as his heir and You died of anger.At the same time emperor Wu attacked You's people sternly.This sharpened the struggle and left the hidden danger that can't be overcome.
