Abstract
Objective To investigate the changes of the DNA of the lymphocytes from the spleen of mice after the treatments of water samples collected before and after the chlorinated disinfection in the water reuse procedure. Methods The Comet Assay was occupied.Untreated control, solvent control and positive control were included as needed. Results All of the results of the two water samples in the three different levels were positive, the sample which collected after disinfection shown greater damage effects on the DNA of the lymphocytes from the spleen of mice than the sample collected before disinfection. Conclusion These results indicated that the chlorinated disinfection process among the water reuse procedure could increase the genotoxicity of the water,And the comet assay could be used to assess the genotoxicity of the reused water.
