Abstract

Based on the engineering practice of developing parallel machine tools(PMTs) and the theory of the parallel robot, the theory and technique about the architecture design, kinematics design, detail design, dynamics design, precision design, and CNC system design of the PMTs were discussed systematically. The design environment of the PMTs and the virtual production developing technique was also explored.
