Abstract
According to the requirement of request of the design,research and application processes of the parallel machine tools(PMTs),the logic structure of the application layer of virtual product design system for parallel machine tools was designed by means of software engineering.It consists of three subsystems: mechanism design,design of entire equipment,operation process simulation. This system can provide a powerful and useful digital integrated environment for PMTs' design,demonstration, optimization and NC programs test to the designers, researchers and users.
