Diagnosis and management of ureterocele in adults

Abstract

Objective To study the diagnosis and treatment of ureterocele in adults.Methods All the diagnosis were made by ultrasonography,IVU and cystoscopy before operation in 3 patients.The treatment method weas transurethral incisions of ureteroceles(TUIU).Results Ureterocele had been diagnosed with ultrasonography in 2 cases and IVU in 1 case and cystoscopy in 3 cases.Cystoscopy was the highest in accurate diagnostic rate.All the 3 patients had been followed up for 1～12 months.Upper urinary tract infections was not found.All stone had been ejected from body.Conclusion Cystoscopy is the accurate diagnostic method for ureterocele.TUIU is found to be an effective and safe method with less injuries and complications.TUIU is the first choice to treat ureterocele in adults.
