The Influence of Marked Theme on Discourse Interpretation

Abstract

The thematic structure is realized by the order of language.And it is,by the order,one of the mechanisms of organizing discourse.In this paper we discuss the markedness of themes in the lineation of English,and their special meaning or implicature.By analyzing how marked themes affecting discourse meanings we study the role of the marked themes in interpretation of a discourse in English.
