Therapeutic Effect of Acupuncture Combined with Massage for Simple Obesity:An Observation of 40 Cases

Abstract

Objective:To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with massage for simple obesity.Methods:Seventy-seven patients were randomized into two groups:the control group(n=37)received acupuncture,and the treatment group (n=40)received acupuncture combined with massage.Results:The total effective rate was 100% in both of the treatment group and the control group(P0.05).The differ- ences of waist circumference,abdominal circumference and hip circumference were signif- icant between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with massage exerts a better effect than acupuncture only on body-building in simple obesity.
