Some Comments on the Formation Reasons of Redology

Abstract

Generally speaking,redology should be regarded as an academic field of ancient Chinese literature in the perspective of modern subjects.It is not an independent subject.Even from a special perspective,the study of A Dream of Red Mansions is hard to become an independent discipline.The reasons that make the study as a discipline must be found from the origin of Jing on Confucian classics),Zhi Xue(study on Zhi Yanzhai's comments on A Dream of Red Mansions) and its formation history.This is also a logical starting point of the reconstruction of an old discipline.
