Abstract
The study of A Dream of Red Mansions by ZENG Yanghua are mainly concentrate on a couple of ways.The first is the research of cases,namely the discrimination between LIN Daiyu and XUE Baochai.The second is the theory of characters.The third is the art perspective.His representative works are Discrimination Between LIN Daiyu and XUE Baochai and New Exploration of A Dream of Red Mansions,etc.,and the former has a profound academic significance.It differentiates and analyses the first case of A Dream of Red Mansions thoroughly and systematically,which establish a model for the further expansion of the theory of characters.
