Abstract

Objective:To investigate the distribution of hyperuricemia(HUA) and the relevance ratio of related diseases in civil servants,in order to provide scientific basis for primary prevention of cardiovascular diseases and metabolic diseases. Methods:The data of HUA and related diseases(overweight, hypertension, fatty liver, hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia) in 7 943 civil servants of Zhanjiang city from January 2008 to December 2010 were analyzed retrospectively. Results:The incidence of HUA in the civil servants of Zhanjiang city was 22.01%(1 748/7 943).The incidence of HUA in the male civil servants(29.24%,1 654/5 657) was significantly higher than that in the female civil servants(4.11%,94/2 286)(P0.001),and HUA mainly occured in 30 to 49 age group of male civil servants.Relevance ratio of overweight, hypertension, fatty liver, hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia of HUA group(45.65%,24.54%,70.42%,12.87% and 50.69% respectively) were significantly higher than those of normal uric acid group(24.44%,15.37%,42.11%,9.35% and 31.25% respectively)(all P0.01).Conclusion:The incidence of HUA in civil servants is high. The prevalence of HUA is associated with factors of age and gender. The relevance ratio of cardiovascular disease and metabolic disease of HUA group is higher than normal group.
