Abstract

During anti-Japanese war,the Chinese Nationalist Army carried out four campaigns against Japanese Army one after another in Changsha. The third campaign(from December 23,1941 to January 16,1942),also called the second Changsha by Japanese, showed power and prestige of Chinese Nationalist Army.It also won a great reputation in international community and had a great effect on World Anti-Fascist War.However, the campaign was really a hard-won victory. It had an important historical and realistic meaning to analyze success of this campaign. This paper focuses on preliminary discussion of reasons of victory in three aspects: correct operational policy of Ninth Theater, the blooded struggle of officers and soldiers and strong support of masses.
