Analysis of 61 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia treated by cold knife conization

Abstract

Objective To investigate the value of cervical cold knife conization(CKC) for the diagnosis and treatment of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN).Methods Data of 61 CIN patients who underwent cervical CKC in Peking University People's Hospital from January 2010 to October 2011 were analyzed retrospectively.Results Compared to biopsy-based diagnosis the identical increased and reduced rate of pathological grade was 48(78.7%),10(16.4%) and 3(4.9%) cases.8 cases of cervical invasive carcinoma,2 cases of cut-edge positive were found.Conclusion CKC is a simple and safe method to diagnose and treat CIN,and it can increase the early diagnosis rate of invasive cervical cancer.
