Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the value of cervical conization in diagnosis and treatment of cervical lesion. Methods: A retrospective study was carried to evaluate 109 cases with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia diagnoses by cytological Examination and biopsies from January 2007 to Dcember 2007.Results: 58(53.2%) cases had the same pathological reports between colposcopic multiple biopsies(MB) and CKC,51 cases had different results.Among the 19(18.01%) cases pathological results of CKC were in higher grade than those of MB.Among the 31(28.70%) cases pathological results of CKC were in lower grade than those of MB.After conization radical hysterectomy was performed in 2 cases(1.83%) because of early invasive carcinoma and simple hysterectomy was performed in 13 cases(11.93%) because of CINⅢ involved the gland and microinvasive carcinoma of the cervix.94 cases were perseverated fertility.During the follow up time of 12-18 months,no cytology abnormality was detected and 2 patients had pregnancy and no threatened abortion. Conclusions: CKC is a good choice for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia which have security, higher curative rate, fewer postoperative complications, perseveration fertility and early preventing cervical cancer.
