From Subjectivity to Intersubjectivity:A Change of Translator's Role in the Postmodern Context

In respect to the death of translator in traditional translation studies,this paper reveals the change of translator's role from subjectivity to intersubjectivity according to the deconstructive and constructive characteristics in postmodernism.Analyzing the plight caused by laying excessive emphasis on the translator's subjectivity,the author applies M.Foucault's power discourse and Karl Popper's three-world theory to criticize the exaggerated translator's subjectivity.Finally,J.Habermas' theory of communication action is introduced to put forward the concept of intersubjectivity,a new perspective of translator's subjectivity,to resolve the issue under discussion.
