Subjectivity, Intersubjectivity or Totality Reflections on Current Research on Translator’s Subjectivity

With its obvious one-sidedness, current research on translator’s subjectivity has failed to a large extent to reveal the nature of translation practice and translator’s subjectivity. This paper, focusing on the totality of translator’s subjectivity, practice and value at different levels, proposes that further study be carried out on human totality, the objectivity and intercourse of translation practice, and the connotations of various value relations, hence widening the vision of translation studies in general and translator’s totality in particular.
