Abstract

Objective To evaluate value of color DopplerIn the diagnosis of the pregnancy in the scar of previousCaesarean section three years. Methods Two diemensional(2D)and color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI) ultra sonograms of the 31 patients with pregnancyin previous caesarean section scars(May 2009 to May 2012) were retrospectively analyzed. Results All cases were verified by clinical and pathologic results, including 22 with gastrula type and 9 with commix mass type. Rich blood supply was observed in 28 cases by transvaginal color Dopper ultrasound, and the blood signals were weak in 3 case. 29 cases were correctly diagnosed by ultrasound and there was 2 misdiagnosis, with the correct diagnosis rate of 93.55%.Conclusion Ultrasonography, especially transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound,is one of the best methods for the diagnosis of the pregnancy in the uterine scar of previous caesarean section.
