Efficacy of Gemifloxacin for Non-gonococcal Urethritis or Cervicitis

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy of Gemifloxacin for non-gonococcal urethritis or cervicitis.METHODS:80 patients with urethritis or cervicitis caused by Chlamydia Trachomatis(CT)and/or Ureaplasma Urealyticum(UU)were treated with Gemifloxacin at a dose of 320 mg q.d for a course of 7 days.The pathogens of the patients were rechecked after drug withdrawal for 7 days.RESULTS:The clinical effective rate was 95.0%(76/80),the cure rate was 88.75%(71/80);the clearance rates of CT and UU were 96.36%(53/55)and 94.23%(49/52),respectively.CONCLUSION:Gemifloxacin has confirmed efficacy for non-gonococcal urethritis or cervicitis.
