Abstract
The color reaction of cobalt(II) with 2-(2-Quinolinlazo)-4,5-Dimethylhydroxybenzen was studied. In the presence of pH = 3.6 HAc-NaAc buffer solution and SDSmedium, QADMP reacts with cobalt (Ⅱ) to form a stable 2∶1 complex. In the measured solution, the molar absorption is1. 2.31×10~4 L·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1). at λ_(max)=575nm. Beer's law was obeyed in range of 0~20.0μg/25mL. This method can be applied to the determination of cobalt in water with satisfactory results.
