Abstract

Objective To discuss the effects of flesh amniotic membrane transplantation with limbal autografts for patients with recurrent pterygium. Methods Transplantations of amniotic membrane and limbal autograft were adopted in 30 cases total of 35 eyes with recurrent pterygium for 12 months follow-up time. Results All the grafs survived.No immunological rejection occurred.Recurrences occurred in 2 eyes in the follow-up period time.No complications appeared in donor limbal areas. Conclusions Transplantation of amniotic membrane with limbal autografts is a kind of simple,safe and effective surgery for recurrent pterygium.
