Relationship of day and night rhythm of Essential Hypertension with TCM Syndrome Pettems

Objective:To explore the relationship of day and night rhythm of es- sential hypertension with TCM syndrome pattems.Methods:A retrospective research was carried out in 170 dipper and non- dipper essential hypertension patients.Twen- ty-four-hour dynamic blood pressure in 170 dipper and non-dipper essential hy- pertension patients was monitored,and the relationship of dipper and non - dipper as- sential hypertension with TCM syndrome patterns was analyzed.Results:There exist- ed significant differences between the syndrome of yin deficiency and yang hyperactivi- ty,and the syndrome of yin - yang deficiency (P0.05).The mean difference of pulse pressure and mean pulse pressure index in the syndrome of yin - yang deficiency was higher than these in other syndrome patterns (P0.05).The mean systolic pressure in the syndrome of hyperactivity of liver - fire and the syndrome of yin - yang deficiency was higher than that in the syndrome of phlegm - damp accumulation (P0.05).The damage of heart,brain in the syndrome of yin -yang deficiency was se- vere as compared with that in the other syndromes (P0.05).Conclusion:There exist differences of the syndrome distribution and the prognnsis of dipper and non- dipper essential hypertension patients.
