Abstract

Dibutyl maleate was synthesized from maleic anhydride and n-butanol usingLa2(SO4)3/SiO2 as catalyst.The influence factors such as amount of catalyst,molar ratio of maleic anhydride to n-butanol,and reaction time on the yield of dibutyl maleate were discussed.The resules showed thatLa2(SO4)3/SiO2 was a good catalyst for synthesizing dibutyl maleate and its yield can reach over 99.0%.Applying this catalyst to synthesis di-n-octyl phthalate,dibutyl succinate and tri-n-butyl citrate,the activate of catalyst is fine.
