Abstract

La2(SO4)3/SiO2 were prepared and as catalyst for synthesizing dilutyl maleate from maleic anhydride and n-butanol was studied. The different factors of the reaction were discussed in detail. The experimental results indicated that La2(SO4)3/SiO2 was an efficient catalyst for synthesizing dibutyl maleate. The optimized reaction condition was as follows: molar ratio of maleic anhydride to n-butanol was 1:2.5;amount of catalyst was 0.8 g/0.1mol maleic anhydride;water-carrying agent benzene volume was 8mL,the reaction time was 100 min;the reaction temperature was controlled at 115℃;the dibutylmaleate's yield was able to reach 99.03%.The above optimized condition was also applied to synthesized of di-n-octyl phthalate, dibutylsuccinate and tri-n-butyl citrate.Their yield can reach over 97%.
