Abstract
The surveys on the bird resources were carried out with the methods of sample point and line transect from 2005 to 2006 in four habitats in Xilinhe Wetland of Inner Mongolia,China.A total of 97 bird species belonging to 12 orders,33 families were recorded. The species diversity, evenness, abundance, dominance of bird communities of different habitats and similarity among communities are studied. The results indicate that species diversity indices of bird communities decrease from swamp to water area, and are the lowest in grassland. The similarity between swamp and water area is the highest.
