Abstract

Objective: To compare the clinic effect and safety of PEG-IFNα-2a and IFNα-1b for treating chronic hepatitis B(CHB) cases. Methods: 49 CHB cases were divided into 2 groups:26 cases in PEG-IFNα-2a group(treatment group) and 23 cases in IFNα-1b group(control group). The liver function,HBV-DNA levels, change of hepatitis B virus marker, and side-efects were observed. Results: At week 48 of treatment,HBeAg negative rate,HBV-DNA negative rate and HBeAg/Anti-HBe change rate in treatment group were significantly higher than those in control group(all P0.05).At week 48 of follow-up,HBeAg negative rate,HBV-DNA negative rate and HBeAg/Anti-HBe change rate in treatment group were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.01,P0.01,P0.025).Conclusion: PEG-IFNα-2a in the treatment of CHB has advantage over IFNα-1b and has a better safety.
