Abstract
Objective To establish a quality standard of Huangyuan Capsules.Methods The radix et rhizoma rhei was identified by TLC while the content of emodin and chrysophanol was determined by HPLC.Results The spots in TLC were fairly clear and distinct as well.Emodin and chrysophanol showed a good linear relationship in the range of 0.064-0.64 μg(r=0.9999) and 0.112-1.12 μg(r=0.9998),respectively.The average recovery of emodin was 98.18% with an RSD of 1.49%(n=6).The average recovery of chrysophanol was 99.44% with an RSD of 0.68%(n=6).Conclusion This method is simple,accurate and specific,which can be used for quality control of Huangyuan Capsules.
