Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of alprostadil on patients with diabetic nephropathy(DN) of stage Ⅳ.Methods 78 DN patients at stage Ⅳ admitted to endocrine department of our hospital from February to December in 2011 were randomly divided into control group(38 cases) and alprostadil group(40 cases). The two groups were both given diabetic diets, treatment of exercise, antihypertension, antilipidemic and antidiabetics. The alprostadil group was given 20 μg alprostadil in 100 ml 0.9% sodium chloride injection one time a day for 7 days. The blood pressure,HbA1c,blood lipid, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine,24 h urinary albumin and β2-microglobulin(β2-MG) were compared between the two groups before treatment and three months after treatment.t test was used in the comparison. Results The blood pressure,HbA1c,blood lipid, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine,24 h urinary albumin and β2-MG showed no statistically significant difference before treatment(P0.05).After treatment, the 24 h urinary albumin and β2-MG in alprostadil group were significantly lower than those in the control group(urinary albumin:(343±61)mg/24 h vs.(366±54)mg/24 h;β2-MG:(458±107)mg/24 h vs.(471±111)mg/24 h)(P0.05).Conclusion A Short-term intravenous application of alprostadil can decrease 24 h urinary albumin and β2-MG in patients with diabetic nephropathy at stage Ⅳ,thus improving the patients′ prognosis.
