Data Analysis on the Maternal Mortality Rate in Fengqiu County from 2000 to 2004

Abstract

[Objective]To know the maternal mortality rate and reasons and provide scientific data for the reduction of the rate.[Methods]Data analysis was made on the maternal mortality rate in Fengqiu county from 2000 to 2004.[Results]The maternal mortality rate was 98/100 000 from 2000 to 2004, the top 4 death causes were obstetric bleeding, hypertension of pregnancy, amniotic fluid embolism and pregnancy associated with heart disease.[Conclusions]The maternal mortality rate is high in Fengqiu county, therefore measures such as delivery in hospital should be taken to reduce the rate.
