Abstract
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS) in patients with multiple focal liver lesions. Methods Fourty-three patients with multiple focal liver lesions underwent CEUS,and the enhancement features of 86 lesions were observed. All the patients were confirmed with histopathology or contrast-enhanced CT/MRI.Results In 43 patients,22 had malignant and 21 had benign liver tumors. Two different enhanced modes in the same patient were observed in 10 patients(10/22,45.45%) with malignant tumors and 3 patients(3/21,14.29%) with benign tumors. There was statistical difference between malignant and benign tumors(P0.05).Conclusion In patients with multiple focal liver lesions, different CEUS enhancement patterns are more obvious in malignant tumors, while the enhancement modes of benign lesions keep basically compatible at the same patient.
