Abstract

Objective To observe characteristics of focal liver lesions in each period of perfusion, and to investigate the diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS).Methods Fifty-four patients with focal liver lesions were examined by low-mechanical index real contrast-enhanced ultrasound with SonoVue.The enhancement patterns of lesions were analyzed and benign and malignant focal liver lesions were differentiated. Results In the early and late enhanced stages, the arrival time, peak time,wash-out time and enhancement time of the malignant lesions were significantly earlier than those of the benign lesion(P0.05).Benign and malignant lesions showed different enhancement patterns at arterial, portal, parenchymal period. The malignant lesions appeared as fast-in and fast-out,the arrival time was(16.1±3.2)s,the wash-out time was(34.6±6.4)s.The benign lesions appeared as fast-in and slow-out,the arrival time was(26.8±6.2)s,the enhancement time was(267.5±56.3)s.Conclusion CEUS can reflect the blood flow perfusion of focal liver lesion dynamically and consecutively and enhancement characteristics of different carcinomas,it is helpful in differential diagnosis of benign and malignant carcinomas.
