Abstract
Micron-sized chitosan microspheres were prepared by inverse suspension crosslinking method, using liquid paraffin as organic dispersion medium, and glutaraldehyde as crosslinking agent. The chitosan microspheres could be prepared in the conditions below: the concentration of chitosan solution was 4.5%,volume ratio of liquid paraffin and chitosan solution was 1∶1.5,the concentration of Span-80 in oil phase was 9.0 mg/mL,the volume ratio of glutaric aldehyde and chitosan solution was 1∶20,the stirring rate was greater than 800 r/min.The particle size of chitosan microspheres was 10 μm micron which have an adsorption capacity for some active substances.
