Abstract
Historical institutional analysis is not only a theoretical headway in institutional economics,but also a leading edge in new institutionalism in politics,and at the same time it is a newly-developed methodology in social sciences research.The main features of its methodology are:(1) importance of history,(2) institution as the logical starting-point of analysis,and(3) institution integration of wide-range field overlapped analysis.
