Institutional Analysis in New Institutionalism:A General Review

Institutional analysis is an important theoretical analysis tool in modern social science.In 1970-80's,economics,politics and other social science rediscovered that institution was important to explain social issues,and then the new institutional analysis was formed.Based on the common logical starting point,behaviour hypothesis and theoretical tools,new institutional analysis has different institutional approach,such as embedded institutional analysis,constitutional economics,comparative institutional analysis,historical institutional analysis and polycentric institutional analysis.Because institutional analysis develop research objects in social science,more and more social issues adopt institutional analysis as research methodology.
