Abstract
Based on an analysis of the current situation of the improvement and financing system for the construction of port infrastructure in China and in line with the theory of public economics,the system elements of the port infrastructure are rationally divided according to the sources and modes of investment and financing.By adequately using for reference the overseas investment and financing systems for construction of port infrastructures,the concept that investment and financing should be made according to the different types of projects is proposed.Finally,concrete recommendations are made for building and improving the investment and financing system for the construction of port infrastructures under the conditions of a market economy.
