Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of ambroxol hydrochloride on pulmonary function in acute exacerbation stage of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD) patients. Methods 60 patients with AECOPD were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group(30 cases) received ambroxol hydrochloride and control group(30 cases) received conventional treatment. The two groups were all treated fifteen days, the levels of FEV1%,FEV1 /FVC,p(CO2) and p(O2) were tested and analyzed before and after treatment. Results The levels of p(O2) after treatment were increased in the two groups(P 0.05),and the increase of treatment group was obvious(P 0.05).The levels of p(CO2) after treatment were decreased in the two groups(P 0.05),and the decrease of treatment group was obvious(P 0.05).FEV1 /FVC p(CO2) after treatment were increased in the two groups(P 0.05),and the increase of treatment group was obvious(P 0.05).Conclusion Ambroxol hydrochloride can improve pulmonary function of AECOPD patients.
