Abstract
OBJECTIVE To assess the relationship between incidence of breast cancer and human papillomavirus types 16 and 18(HPV16,18) infection.METHODS The expression levels of HPV16,18 in 60 cases of breast(cancer) and mammary gland hyperplasia were analyzed by in situ hybridization technique.RESULTS The infection rates of HPV16,18 in breast cancer were 45% and 55%,respectively.The infection rates of HPV16,18 in(mammary) gland hyperplasia were 15% and 16.67%,respectively.HPV16,18 infection rates were not(significantly) different in various histological types, and lymph nodes metastases of breast cancer(P0.05).(CONCLUSIONS) The HPV16,18 infection can induce incidence of breast cancer. The infection rates of HPV16,18 are not related to histological types, and lymph nodes metastases of breast cancer.
