Abstract
In this paper, two new species of Anidiocerus Maldanado:A.curvatus sp.nov.and A.bimaculatus sp.nov.,are described and illustrated from specimens collected in Hainan and Guizhou Provinces,China.A diagnosis to the genus and a key to species are provided.Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Entomology,Guizhou University(IEGU).All measurements are in millimeters.1 Anidiocerus curvatus sp.nov.(Figs.1-10)Body length(incl.tegm.):♂5.4mm.Vertex,pronotum,scutellum pale reddish brown;face pale brown, lorum and gena yellowish brown.Ocelli slightly yellow, eyes black.Forewings grayish brown with base yellowish brown, abdomen dark brown, legs yellowish brown.Length of vertex 0.18,width across base 1.02;length of frons 1.62,width(between widest part)1.7;width between eyes 0.31;width between ocelli 0.5,width between eyes and ocellus on the same side 0.24;length of pronotum(in middle line)0.68,width 1.5;length of scutellum(in middle line)0.94,width 1.12;length of clypeus 0.36,width across base 0.25,width across apex 0.37.This new species is similar to A.flavidus Cai et Shen,1998,but differs from the latter in the following characters:general size slightly smaller;pronotum pale reddish brown, lorum and gena yellowish brown;male pygofer with dorsal margin angulate at distal 1/5;aedeagus with an apical process,S-shaped and style narrowly acuminate at middle.Holotype ♂,Leigongshan(27°09'N,108°45'E),Guizhou Province,31 May 2005,coll.by ZHANG Bin.Etymology.The new species is named after Latin curvatus, meaning the aedeagus with a process similar to 'S' at apex.2 Anidiocerus bimaculatus sp.nov.(Figs.11-20)Body length(incl.tegm.):♂ 6.0mm.General color yellowish brown.Face slightly yellowish brown;eyes black, ocelli dark brown;a pair of oval spots on lateral margins of pronotum,a basal triangular maculation on each side of scutellum, blackish.Forewings, legs, abdomen pale yellow.Length of vertex 0.25,width across base 1.38;length of frons 2.0,width(between widest part)2.13;width between eyes 0.38;width between ocelli 0.62,width between eyes and ocellus on the same side 0.3;length of pronotum(in middle line)0.88,width 1.87;length of scutellum(in middle line)1.06,width 1.39;length of clypeus 0.5,width across base 0.25,width across apex 0.43.This species can be easily distinguished from all other species of Anidiocerus by the following characters:two oval spots on lateral margins of pronotum;apex of the male pygofer blunt;and aedeagus without process.Holotype ♂,Jianfengling(18°48'N,108°52'E),Hainan Province,15 May 1997,coll.by YANG Mao-Fa.Etymology.The new species is named after Latin bimaculatus, meaning the pronotum with a pair of dark spots on lateral margins.
