NEW SPECIES AND A NEWLY RECORDED GENUS OF ISOMETOPIDAE FROM CHINA (HEMIPTERA: HETEROPTERA)

In this paper descriptions of four new species: lsometopus citri sp. nov. collected on citrus trees, being heavily infested with Unaspis sp. (Diaspididae); Isometopus nigrosignatus sp, nov.; lsomeiopus shaotvuensii sp. nov. preying on spider mites; Myiomma altica sp. nov. are given. The genus Myiomma Puton is recorded for the first time from this country. All type specimens are deposted in the Department of Biology, Nankai University. The measurements in descriptions are in millimeters.Myiomma altica sp. nov. (figs. 1?)Pitchy, clothed with recumbent fulvous setae. ♀ total length 2.70 width 1.30. Seen from front, length of head 0.51; length of eye 0.37, width 0.24. Length of antennal segments I:II:III: IV= 0.11:0.51:0.20: (missing). Seen from above, length of head 0.28, width 0.50, width of vertex 0.10. Length of pronotum.at middle part 0.42, width at base 1.20. VI. 1963, Zheng Le-yi.This species closely allied to Myiomma minutum Miyamoto, but body larger in size, fuscus; anterior margin of head truncate; pronotum wide, distinctly wider than the median length (1.20: 0.24), concolorous, pitchy; apical part of scutellum and cuneus fuscus, pale at base of. cuneus.Isometopus citri sp. nov. (figs. 4-5)Body black, broadly ovate, convex above, with brown maculates. Total length 1.95 (♀), abdominal width 1.46. Head, lateral region of pronotum, apex of scutellu mand femora brownish. When viewed from above, head length 0.13, width 0.61, width of vertex 0.33, ocellus very close to eyes. Length of antennal segments I:II:III:IV = 0.20:0.21:0.16:0.21. Hemelytra convex-ly ampliated on each side, length 1.25, passing the abdominal apex for 0.25, cuneus strongly downward slope, length 0.40. Posterior femur shorter than tibia (0.56:0.60). VII. 1985, Ren Shu-zhiThe species allied to Isometopus feanus Distant, but body black, lateral areas of pronotum and apex of scutellum brownish; ocellus very close to eye; head frons anteriorly with two transversely arranged shining spots on middle area; pronotal posterior angles broadly rounded, posterior margin bisinuate.This new species is found on citrus trees hevaily infested with Unaspis sp. (Diaspididae). Isometopus nigrosignatus sp. nov. (figs. 6-7)Body ovate, grey-white, with fuscus and black spots, clothed with greyish shining pubescence. Head seen anteriorly with three transversely arranged large black spots, the lateral ones smaller, transverse, placed right below each eye, Basal klf of pronotum, greyish. Hemelytra with base, and an irregular transverse fascia at middle fuscous.♀, body length 2.50, width 1.40. When viewed from above, length of head 0.20, width 0.65, width of vertex 0.17. Length of antennal segments I:II:III:IV = 0.13:0.54:0.33:0.38. Rostrum long reaching posterior margin of 7th abdominal segment and passing the base of ovipositor.Holotype ♀, paratype 1♀, Yunnan Province (Kunming, 24°05'N, 102°20'E), 23. IV. 1984, 2heng Le-yi.Allied to Isemetopus tianjinus Hsiao, but head frons with three black spots; posterior half of pronotum, greyish white; relative lengths of antennal segments different.Isometopus shaowuensis sp. nov. (figs. 8-10)Total length, ♂, 1.90, width 1.23, body black, with pale fine hairs; front, apex of scutellum yellow brown. 1st antennal segment short; 2nd, segment thick, with brownish setae; ocelli prominent, close to eyes. Length of sntennal segments I:II:III:1V = 0.12:0.37:0.20:0.15. Rostrum reaching base of posterior coxae. Head length 0.31. width 0.65, lower margin of front upwardly reflexed. Pronotum lateral margins roundedly expanded, posterior margin bisinuate. Clavus long, reaching apex of scutellum.
