TWO NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS PENTATOMA OLIVIER (HEMIPTERA, PENTATOMIDAE) FROM CHINA

The present paper deals with two new species of Pentatoma Olivier from China: P. cangshanensis sp. nov. and P. viridicornuta sp. nov. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Shaanxi Normal University. Measurements are given in millimeters.Pentatoma cangshanensis sp. nov.(Figs.1-4)Body middle size, elongately ovate, castaneous and sheeny, with black punctures. This new species is similar to Pentatoma rufipes (Linnaeus) in appearance, but differs from the latter in: 1) size small, lateral margin of pronotum black; 2) lateral angles shorter, truncated, and not obviously raised; 3) end of rostrum black, reaching hind margin of the 4th abdominal segment; 4) connexivm alternately yellow and black, and the yellow parts small, not clear; 5) head base slightly tumid, and the middle calli distinctly raised; 6) paramere different to the later.Body length: 12-13; head length 2.6, width 1.9; length of antennal segment Ⅰ-Ⅴ= 0.8, 1.2, 2.3,2.1,1.8; pronotum length 3.1, width 7.5; scutellum length 4.6, width 3.9.Holotype ♂, Cangshan, Dali(24.9°N, 100.05°E), Yunnan, 11 Aug. 2004, HE Peng-Xing leg. Paratype 1♂, same data as holotype,BU Yun leg. Pentatoma viridicornuta sp. nov.(Figs.5-9)Body middle size, elongately ovate, yellowish green or yellowish brown, with black punctures. Tylus as long as jugum, with black punctures sheened with metallic green. Antennae yellowish brown. Anterior margin of pronotum truncate behind eyes. Lateral margins of pronotum yellow, without black puncture, anterior portion with fine serration. Base of lateral angles greenish metallic and obviously raised, apex blackish, with a long tip as in Fig.5. Scutellum yellowish green or yellowish brown. middle part with more punctures than other parts. Lateral margin of corium yellowish green or yellowish brown, inner margin with dark punctures. other parts of corium greenish. Clavus dark brown, with several row punctures, membrane brown, extending to abdomen apex. Connexivm yellowish green or yellowish brown, without black punctures. Coloration of body beneath same to body above, only pronotal lateral angles with black punctures. Ventral basal spine almost nonexistence. Rostrum yellowish brown, apical part black, reaching posterior margin of the 4th abdominal segment. Pygofer as in Fig.6. Paramere with top concavity and apex finger-like and directing obliquely as in Figs.7-8, translucent sheet at base.Body length ♀ 14, ♂ 13.0-13.5; head length ♀ 2.6, ♂ 2.5, width ♀ 1.8, ♂ 1.6; length of antennal segment ♀ Ⅰ-Ⅴ=0.9,1.6,2.3,2.9,2.4, ♂Ⅰ-Ⅴ=0.9,1.6,2.2,2.7,2.4;pronotum length ♀ 3.5, ♂ 3.5, width ♀ 9.5, ♂ 10.2; scutellum length ♀ 5.0, ♂ 5.0, width ♀ 4.3, ♂ 4.5. Holotype ♀, Foping(33.4°N,107.5°E), Shaanxi, 16 Sep. 2005, HE Peng-Xing leg. Paratypes: 1♂, same data as holotype; 1♂, Taibaishan, Shaanxi, 23 Aug. 2002, BU Yun leg.; 1♂, Qingchuan, Sichuan, 19 Aug. 1986, LIAN Zhen-Min leg. This new species is similar to Pentatoma angulata Hsiao et Cheng, but differs in: 1) body color; 2) lateral angles with a long tip; 3) ventral basal spine; 4) rostrum length; 5) male genitalia structure.
