Research on the Protection System of Right to Privacy in Japan

The right to privacy is one of the most significant human rights. Nowadays, with the development of our information society,infringing the right to privacy has become a more and more serious problem. So, how to protect such right has been a main issue in many countries. The focus of this article is to introduce the legal protection system in Japan, mainly based on the statute situations of personal information protection and some corresponding cases about the protection for the right to privacy. In the meanwhile, the writer also approaches some problems of protecting the right to privacy in our country.
