Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the changes of four platelet parameters in type 2 diabetic patients and its correlation with microangiopathy disease. METHOD Platelet parameters (PLT、MPV、PCT and PDM)were detected with SYSMEX completely-automatic blood analyzer and FPG was detected with automatic biochemistry analyzer. RESULTS Compared with control group, diabetic group had significantly higher levels of MPV, PDW(P0.05); lower levels of PLT(P0.05); no significant difference in PCT. Compared with non-vascular group, vascular group had significantly higher levels of MPV, PDW(P0.05); lower levels of PLT(P0.05); no significant difference in PCT. CONCLUSION Platelet parameters are abnormally expressed in type 2 diabetic patients and close correlation with microangiopathy disease, which is useful for diagnosis and avoiding the vascular pathological changes.
