Abstract

Objective To explore the significance of the united determination of glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c1) and platelet prameters in microangiopathy of the diabetic elderly. Methods HbA1c1,mean platelet volume(MPV),platelet distribution width(PDW) and platelet count(PLT) in 180 diabetic elderly(100 cases with microangiopathy and 80 cases without micro angiopathy) and 80 healthy controls were determined by automatic blood and biochemistry cytoanalyzes. Results PLT,HbA1c1,MPV and PDW in diabetic patients were significantly higher than those in controls(P0.01),those in patients with microangiopathy were significantly higher than those in patients without microangiopathy(P0.01).But there was no obvious difference in PCT between diabetic patients and controls(P0.05).Conclusion The united determination of HbA1c1 and platelet prameters could play important role in early diagnosis of microangiopathy of the diabetic elderly.
