Abstract

OBJECTIVE To explore the significance of platelet parameters(PLT、 MPV、 PCT and PDM)in type 2 diabetes patients.METHODS The platelet parameters(PLT、 MPV、 PCT and PDM)were detected by automatic hematology analyzer with Bayer ADVIA 70 five-classification,the FPG was detected by Toshiba automatic biochemical analyzer.RESULTS Compared with control group, diabetic group had significantly higher levels of MPV,PDW(P0.05);lower levels of PLT(P0.05);no significant difference in PCT.Compared with non-vascular group, vascular group had significantly higher levels of MPV,PDW(P0.05);lower levels of PLT(P0.05);no significant difference in PCT.CONCLUSION The detection of platelet parameters is useful for diagnosis, monitoring the clinical course and avoiding the vascular pathological changes.
