An Understanding About the Life Connotation in Moral Tradition ——A Discourse on the Construction of Moral Education System with the Goal of "Life and Practice"

Effectiveness is still a puzzle of contemporary school moral education.By analyzing the problems in the theory and practice of contemporary school moral education,the author attributes the problems in school moral education to the dissimilation of the moral connotation in the long-term school moral education.Moral education has been considered as a kind of knowledge education and neglected that moral as one of people's living ways is subjective and dynamic,which result in the loss of life connotation in the formation of moral concepts and moral behaviors.With the description of moral connotation in Chinese traditional culture,the author asserts the dynamic transformation from dao(Principle) to de(Moral) and the rich life connotation implicated in valuing life is the foundation of moral.We should re-examine and-understand the moral connotation in traditional culture,interpret traditional moral with modern connotation and construct new moral education system with the goal of Life and Practice to restore the life foundation of moral education.
