On Educational Value of the History of Science

The history of science has important function in the education of science.Foreign scholars have carried on a large amount of research to this.On the basis of reviewing history in which the history of science is introduced to education of science,This paper further analyses the educational value of the history of science.The article thinks that the education value of the history of science embodies in the following aspects mainly: the history of science can promote students to understand scientific essence;the history of science can promote students' knowledge construction;the history of science can improve students' humane accomplishment;the history of science can train students' criticism spirit.
