Abstract

Objective To explore and analyze the clinical efficacy of different subgingival rinse methods in the treatment of periodontitis. Methods Twenty-three patients(88 teeth) with moderate and severe periodontitis admitted to our hospital were divided into different groups using the random number table method. The control group was given drug administration treatment using the rinser after traditional ultrasound subgingival scaling and the experimental group was given drug rinse treatment synchronized with ultrasound subgingival scaling. The clinical efficacy of the two methods was compared. Results After the treatment, the numerical values of plaque indices(PL) and sulcus bleeding indices(SBI) of both groups decreased significantly compared to those before the treatment, with statistical significance(P0.05).After the treatment, the experimental group was significantly larger than the control group in the decrease degrees of numerical values of PL,SBI,probing depth(PD) and attachment loss(AL),with statistical significance(P0.05). The experimental group had higher satisfaction degree than the control group, with statistical significance(P0.05). Conclusion Drug rinse treatment synchronized with ultrasound subgingival scaling has remarkable clinical efficacy in the treatment of periodontitis, thereby worthy of wide promotion.
