Abstract
The evolution of Community Education has experienced three phases: the Ancient Community Education with original features, the modern Community Education in the early 20th century, which has acquired a clear concept; and the Community Education in the 1970s of the 20th century which has become an important approach to set up life long Education System and to teach a Learning Society. This paper is intended to explore the functions of Community Education to the development of the community and its people.
