Discussion on Connotation,Characteristic and Function of Community Education

In the course of community education development,various countries have different experiences and characteristics,which result in different understandings about community education.In China,it is normally thought that community education is a lifelong educational system that integrates the education of society,family and school,and an educational campaign course that raises all community members' quality and life standard as well as promotes community development.Community education has the characteristics of community,flexibility,three-wholeness,purpose and specialty,and the functions of citizenship education,community cohesion,community development,cultural construction and resources integration.
