Abstract
As to the relation with community,there are big differences between traditional education and western modern community education.First,modern community education is a kind of education for community,oriented by community demands and lifelong learning.Secondly,it is a kind of education by community,emphasizing community participation and citizen spirit.Thirdly,it is a kind of eduction of community,emphasizing the effective utilization of educational resources.The three ideas of western modern community education has important inspiration to community education development in China.
