Abstract

High-purity ultrafine magnesium hydroxide was prepared by ambient temperature solid-state reaction using hexammoniated magnesium chloride as raw material.It was researched to obtain an appropriate operated condition:hexammoniated magnesium chloride and magnesium chloride in a molar ratio of(1∶1,) a rotating speed of grinding machine at 350 r/min for 15 min,grinding balls and raw materials in a ratio of 5∶1 within filling rate of 52%,10 mm and 6 mm grinding balls in a ratio of 1∶2.The analysis of chemical component shows a content of magnesium hydroxide about 99.7%,a content of impurity lower than 0.3%.The result shows that an average particle size is 158 nm by laser particle analyzer,which coefficient variance(CV) is 0.194.
